Make A Big Impact, Take The Road Less Traveled

There are times in your life where you will come to a moral fork in the road. These are times when you have to figure out if you will you choose to do things the world's way, or God's. What is the best way to figure out where God wants you to be?

Matthew 7:13-14 says, "Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
What are the narrow and wide roads? In this passage, Jesus was talking about how we should not conform to the patterns of this world, but we should take the road less traveled. This narrow road is the path of following Christ; the path where we do good because of our want to please Him. The wide road is the path that is taken by many and is congested with worldly desires and selfish living. It's sad, but there are a lot of people who have the chance to live the life that God wants for them, but instead, they give in to the influences of worldly desires and go on a four wheel drive excursion to the wide road.

Are you in a position where you are in a rough spot? Are you going into a profession that is surrounded by worldly influences like acting or singing? Are you wanting to strengthen your relationship with Christ? Don't be like all of the others who are of this world; make an impact for God: take the road less traveled. Shine your light that He ignites and you will find the life that God wants for you; you will not be disappointed.

DEAR COLLIN,
I just wanted to share with you some thoughts I've been trying to understand that actully have alot to do with this topic, "make a big impact, take the road less traveled"... That fork in the road, what a bother huh? It's so ironic to me that when the oppertunity of taking the road less traveled comes foward in a person's life, that most tend to veiw this chance as: (poetically speaking) uniquely simple; that we tend to over look the sincerity and the pure simplicity of this path God offers to us. Yet some even knowing this,(or maby they don't 'know' it but I'm almost sure they feel it... unless they're robot!) choose the lonely, dark and overwhelmingly difficult path!? I know what you're thinking: "what's up with all the big words" ... Well, I know all about this because I once, twice, three times, at that great fork in the road: made worldly choises and chose that difficult path instead. And as I look back I can honestly say that it almost blinded me from seeing, from uncovered glory that God has suddenly put into my life. I say "uncovered" because I haven't yet learned or discovered what this glory will be but I know what I feel, and I see what he's done for me already! (To anyone one else who might read this and can relate- just remember that our God is a forgiving God and all you have to do is talk to him, he really does listen to you! Even when you doubt he's listening to you, he still hears exactly what you're trying to say!)
On a final note, since I've never been too good with good-byes; I'll share a quote out of a book I have called "GRACE", and it goes something like this:
When the disciples saw Jesus in the middle of their stormy night, they called him a ghost. To them, the glow was anything but God! When we see gentle lights on the herizon, we offten have the same reaction. We dismiss occasional kindness as apparitions, accidents, or anomalies.(Anything but God) And because we look for the bonfire, we miss the candle. Because we listen for the shout, we miss the whisper. But it is in burnished candles that God comes, through whispered promises he speaks: "When you doubt, look around; I am closer than you think."

"God is being patient with you. He does not want anyone to be lost, but he wants all people to change their hearts and lives"
...2nd PETER 3:9

Hey by the way, sorry this comment turned out kind'a, well, long.. what can I say, I have spiritual fingers :)
